Lecturers and instructors: 
Course description: 
Understanding thermodynamics of chemical reactions, reaction kinetics and catalysis, chemical equilibriums. The students become familiar with the chemistry of galvanic cells, electrochemical corrosion, electrochemistry. Principles of combustion, coal types and coal combustion, petroleum and petroleum refining will be discussed. Petroleum products, fuels, and lubricants/lubrication will be presented, as well. The students learn about the modern technological processes of water purification for industrial use.
