Course description: 
Nuclei, nucleons, origin of radioactive radiation, their properties, interaction of radiation with matter, radioactive decay processes. Methods and most important tools for the detection of α-, β- and γ-radiation. Formation of the elements, radioactive isotopes of natural origin, radioactive isotopes of cosmic and terrestrial origin. Age determination methods. Isotope effect. Basic radioanalytical concepts: sensitivity, matrix effect, chemical extraction, accuracy, tracer, sampling, chemical separation methods. Methods for the analysis of isotopes of natural and artificial origin by radiochemical and nuclear spectroscopic methods. Analytical methods for elements, nuclear methods in the study of chemical properties and material structure
