Course description:
The aim of the course is to introduce the students to the technologies utilizing renewable energy sources (solar, hydro, biomass, geothermal) and converting them into secondary energy carriers (fuel, heat, electricity), their possibilities and application limitations. In addition to the technical solutions, the students will get acquainted with the optimal selection and design process of renewable energy supply systems, as well as their operational aspects. In addition to energy production, the issues of integration into the system and energy storage will also be emphasized.
