Course description:
The course gives an introduction to the use of basic laboratory instruments (mass, time and distance measurements, digital multimeters, power supplies, data acquisition cards, etc.), and to basics of data collection, data evaluation, error estimations, data visualization, and the documentation of the measurements. These skills are practiced through fundamental, mostly computer-controlled measurements from the fields of mechanics, electronics, and thermal phenomena. The measurements are performed in pairs.
